Ashira Mathis

Brain-Based Treatment Technician & Research Assistant

The way we think, receive, and react to the world shapes the way we experience relationships and our daily lives. Albert Einstein said, “We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”  This is a philosophy I live by. Working with adults that struggle with challenges is what I do.  I am passionate about helping you see results, and I will work diligently while I am on this journey with you.

Hi, I’m Ashira! I graduated from Texas Woman’s University as a Collegiate Scholar in the National Honors Society. I majored in Health Science with an emphasis in Community Health and a minor in Global Studies. My interest in the neurofeedback field began when I met Laura Childers, my mentor. I have been working as an intern for Laura at Daring Ventures for five months now. I will be embarking on further training for neurofeedback.

I am helping research and implement programs that instill cognitive enhancement and helping with working memory and sensory processing, such as Cogmed Working Memory Training. These implementations to working memory aim to help individuals improve concentration, focus attention, impulse control, social skills, and solve problems in areas such as mathematics. This program has been proven to help with ADHD management with the enhancement of working memory. I am passionate about helping clients see results. I will work diligently while I am on this journey with you. I look forward to working with you!
