Faith–Based Track:

Clinical Excellence, Christ–Centered Care

A message from Jake Porter, our Founder & President:

The philosophy on which Daring Ventures has been built is one of faith, hope, and love. I have faith in a God who created the world right and good, I hold a hope that this God has not abandoned us in our brokenness, and I trust the love that God demonstrates to us through his Son, Jesus Christ.

Our methodology is clinical and grounded in research–based evidence, but make no mistake—our methodology is also consistent with what I believe about how God created human beings: made in the image of God, created for connection, and therefore deserving of respect, honor, and relationship. We desire to see all people flourish, regardless of their own backgrounds and beliefs (or lack thereof).

We also understand, however, that some people cannot imagine facing the dragons of trauma and addiction without having their faith as the central component of their recovery and healing. For those who desire such an approach, we offer our Faith–Based Track with clinical excellence and Christ–centered care.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. – 2 Corinthians 1:3–4

The story of how I came into this work is truly the story of my own journey of faith. I work and serve as one who is intimately familiar with both trauma and addiction, as well as recovery and healing.

Our Faith–Based Track.

Those who opt for our Faith–Based Track will receive the same quality of help and support for which we are known, grounded in the latest research in the treatment of trauma and addiction. There will be no easier answers, no efforts merely to “pray it away,” and no enabling the use of a spiritualized bypass of real issues. Instead, those on this track will receive clinical excellence paired with Christ–centered care.

The Faith–Based Track is not a rigid, preconceived program in which we expect clients to participate in a one–size–fits–all religious approach. This is for those at any point in their spiritual journeys who would like to give particular attention to matters of faith, who seek care for their souls and not just their minds. No matter where you are in your relationship with God, we would be honored to join you in asking your questions and seeking his answers.

Clinical Excellence

Clients who chose our faith–based track will not be sacrificing quality of care, but will instead have access to the same highly trained team clinical practitioners with specialized expertise in the treatment of trauma, sexual addiction, betrayal, gambling, and more. Thorough and rigorous assessment will be utilized in the development of evidence–based treatment plans that are fitted particularly to the client’s needs.

Christ–Centered Care

For those in our faith–based track, clinically sound treatment plans will be augmented with components that draw richly from the Christian tradition. Depending upon the needs of the client, these spiritual components can be woven into the whole of treatment or processed separately with a coach or counselor who focuses solely on the implications of treatment for the client’s faith and values.
