Carley Pool, LPC, CSAT Candidate

Meet Carley

"The narrative of our lives is a sacred creation developed through our relational experiences. It might be difficult to believe that something beautiful can come from situations that are exceptionally painful, however consider the possibility of a shift of focus from expecting an outcome to expecting a new experience. Together, we can face the echoes of the past that so vividly live in the present and rewrite a personal narrative in the context of new relational encounters."

When I was a teenager, I discovered the book Inside Out: Real Change Is Possible If You're Willing to Start from the Inside Out by Larry Crabb. This was my introduction to the radical idea that people can change. It consumed me. Since then, I have been on a relentless pursuit to understand how this is possible. Though I feel strongly that the counseling field has only scratched the surface, I am convinced that interpersonal neurobiology is a steam train traveling in the right direction.

I am passionate about helping people move beyond behavior modification to deep transformational change. With curiosity, compassion, and unconditional acceptance, I will partner with you to navigate complex traumatic history with a simple and efficient approach focused on the present to create encounters that serve as a springboard for change, not only personal change but also systemic and relational shifts.

The methods I use I have personally employed in my own married life, and I have seen first-hand how they have helped my family grow and change dramatically. We all come with a story, and my story motivates me to help others who have been caught in the throes of the consequences of generational trauma. As I value connection, and believe it is what we were created for, I look forward to connecting and growing with you as we walk on a path toward healing and wholeness.
